Editorial Policy
Trust is our most important asset. When you are securing your home, you need accurate, unbiased information. Here is how we ensure the quality of our content.
Accuracy and Tech Precision
Our troubleshooting and installation guides are based on documented network protocols, application behaviors, and manufacturer specifications. We do not guess. If a camera requires a 2.4GHz network, we explain exactly why and how to configure it.
Review Methodology
We clearly distinguish between two types of content on our site:
- Hands-on Tested: Products that our team has physically purchased, installed, and evaluated in real-world scenarios. We test setup speed, app stability, night vision clarity, and motion detection reliability.
- Research-Based Reviews: Aggregated information based on analyzing manufacturer specifications, reading hundreds of verified customer reviews, and evaluating the underlying application ecosystem. We never claim to have physically tested a product if we have not.
Corrections
Camera firmware and smartphone apps update frequently. If an interface changes or a step in our guide becomes obsolete, we update our articles as quickly as possible. Every article displays a "Last Updated" date to signify freshness.
